We were in a marvellous and decent location at a medium distance from Lambton Quay Street. Really good and exceptional staff, everything was good. The booked room was practical and new-fashioned with all the key necessities.
The staff was very unhelpful.

Clean, comfortable room, with well-equipped bathroom - and tea/coffee and hot chocolate making facilities; restaurant and laundry on site; very handy location; generally obliging and hard-working staff - particularly when I arrived for supper well into the evening.
Absence of an information book or guide in the room on arrival. I wanted to know about the restaurant (times of opening for supper and breakfast, prices, menu, etc); whether there was a laundry and what coins I would need; how to get access to the internet; what channels were on the tv; how to dial out on the phone - and more. None of this was provided, which meant numerous trips down to the Reception to get info, change coins, etc. I would say that almost every hotel and b&b, however small, I have stayed in provides such info. Maybe it was just that the one for my room was missing, but if you generally don't provide a guide to the hotel, please think about doing so! At $25 the breakfast was over-priced for what was on offer.

Its location was very central. Staff were polite and helpful.
The room was miniscule. A 3m by 3m box into which was crammed a wardrobe, two single beds, a small desk and a 14inch tv. With our suitcases in the room there was barely enough room to stand. The continental breakfast was ok but at NZ$19 it was far too pricey. I'd sacrifice on location rather than stay at the hotel again.

Savory and warm breakfast options. Stylish and functional room with own bathroom, walk-in shower, and bath sheets. - Unbeatable location near Interisland ferry, downtown restaurants, shops, and public transportation. - Nearby Bordeaux Bakery and Brasserie for tea or coffee.

The room was very dirty and the floors in the bath room needed to be srcubed i know dirt like that at home would come off with a good cleaning, also the walls could be sprayed and wiped as you could see the dirt on the walls, and the bed was made like i would make it at home, my wife was not empressed at all. The staff at the front desk were very nice and help full

Staff very helpful and facilitated our request for an early check-in extremely well. Car park was very small and they charged $14 to stay in it. Not happy with the room as we were placed in a disabled bedroom

The complimentary buffet breakfast was nice and some of the staff there were very pleasant to deal with.
The bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned properly, there were long dark hairs on the floor behind the door and the floor was dirty. The Toilet had a black mark behind the cistern where it had not been cleaned properly and the sink taps had black marks around them. There was also thick dust all around the skirting boards in the bathroom. The duvet cover in the bedroom had two stain marks on it. One of the window locks did not work properly so I was pleased we were on the third floor as the room was very hot and did not appear to have any type of air conditioning. I guess we got what we paid for as far as the cost of the Hotel!!
